Despite the online censor leak and reports of the pirated version being available on a record number of torrent sites, the Rajnikanth starrer Kabali, is on its way to creating history at the box-office, setting unprecedented records both in India and the overseas territory. According to producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film may well become the highest grossing Rajnikanth movie, going by the phenomenal response it has received so far. Thanu reveals that the film has collected a whopping Rs 250 crore on its first day, with Rs 100 crores estimated from Tamilnadu alone. While the Rajnikanth frenzy continues in his traditional bastion in Chennai, besides Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Thanu reveals that the film has also done exceptionally well in Kerala, in comparison to other Rajnikanth starrers in the past.
