The Salman Khan starrer, Tubelight, is trending on social media after director Kabir Khan revealed the first look on Twitter on the occasion of Independence Day. The first look shows Salman Khan in the get-up of an army man, standing with his back against the camera. Kabir and his 200 strong crew had been shooting in the mountainous terrain of Ladakh since the past 15 days. The director who had been posting regular updates about the progress of the schedule recently described it as “jumping at 13,000 feet above sea level, the toughest schedules ever but also the most spectacular”. A historical period drama set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-Sino war, Tubelight tells the story of a cross-border romance, which will see Salman playing the role of a “man-child who is slow in picking and grasping things.” The film will see the third collaboration between Salman and Kabir Khan, after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, both of which made history at the box-office. It is being readied for an Eid 2017 release.
