The subject of Queen is relevant to the contemporary woman in society, says Kajal Aggarwal

 Actress Kajal Aggarwal’s career seems to be going places. The actress whose last release Vivegam, proved to be a huge success at the box-office, is all geared up for her next Tamil film, Paris Paris, which was officially launched on September 24. The actress who will be recreating Kangana’s role in the film, revealed how the project was very close to her heart, adding that, she would be treating it as an original film, “I’m not looking forward to filling in anyone’s shoes in this role.”

In a recent interview the actress said that she loved the original film, “I watched the original Queen and I loved it. It was a sweet, innocent film and I thought it had a storyline that touched so many people. Also it is extremely relevant to the contemporary woman in society,” she said. The actress is happy with the exciting opportunities that are coming her way but she maintains that she is always inspired by content-driven roles. “It is great to be a part of a successful film but I would any day prefer to do a film that helps me to prove my mettle in acting,” she said.

The Tamil remake of Queen will be directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind, who is also directing the Kannada version of the film. The film will have dialogues and songs by Tamizhachi Thangapandian.

The project, which marks the southern debut of composer Amit Trivedi, will be produced by Mediente Entertainment and Liger.
