The much-anticipated premier episode of Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 11 will see Varun Dhawan teaming with Salman Khan to recreate the iconic Tan Tana Tan number steps from the original film, which was a milestone in Salman’s career. Varun shared the picture in an Instagram post. Judwaa 2, which opened to a phenomenal response on September 29, is the first film that will be promoted on the latest edition of Bigg Boss, for which Salman Khan has been reportedly paid the highest ever price of Rs 11 crore per day (two episodes) for a reality show. Salman had earlier charged Rs 2.5 crore per episode for the fourth to sixth season after which he had doubled his price in 2013 at Rs 5 crore per episode. His price for the last season was said to be Rs 9 crore per episode. This is the eighth time the superstar is hosting the popular reality show, which will be premiered on 0ctober 1.
In a recent media interaction, Colors CEO Raj Nayak while commenting on Salman’s speculated price had said that the superstar “doesn’t come cheap”. Salman on the other hand had justified his decision to be back on the show stating, “Every year I have said that I don’t want to do Bigg Boss the following year but they Colors doesn’t agree. They don’t get the TRPs without me and bring me back. Let’s see how long we can keep entertaining the audiences,” he revealed, not ruling out the possibility of him being a part of more editions in the future.
The last season attracted a record number of sponsors, with reported sponsorship revenue of Rs 140-150 crore. Among the key sponsors this season are Oppo, Appy Fizz beverage brand and camera brand, CP Plus.
The latest season will revolve around the theme of prying padosis (neighbours) and ‘Gharwale”, with a mix of celebrities and commoners participating in the show. According to ZAPR reports, the finale episode of Bigg Boss Season 10 screened on January 29, garnered a record 20.6 million television viewers. The last season attracted a record number of sponsors, with reported sponsorship revenue of Rs 140-150 crore. Among the key sponsors this season are Oppo, Appy Fizz beverage brand and camera brand, CP Plus.
